Movies would randomly stop on Kodi (via Shield), or the app would just flat out crash during a movie. SPMC hasn't done this to me once. About the only issue I have with SPMC is occasionally audio doesn't come through when starting a movie, so I have to disable, re-enable passthrough during playback. I'm fine with that though.
